Paul, Stuart Riddle, Adrian Newton and Steve Gibson, as members of Gerauschhersteller, a Dorset based experimental music collective, released a full recording of Cornelius Cardew’s Treatise which you can find here.
Free Jazz Collective review for Treatise.
Read Hannah Edgar’s The Infinite Readings of Cornelius Cardew’s Treatise which looks at a number of interpretations of the score, including Gerauschhersteller’s.
The Typographer’s Error is a long standing duo with Stuart Riddle, and the release results from three sessions of improvisations made in Wimborne in the Winter of 2018/19. The music isn’t cold.
The release can be purchased and streamed here.
Thank you to Adrian Newton for the DPP conversion. You can find out more about Adrian’s sound and visual arts at Nemeton.

“This 2015 concert was very important for us - our performance went well and we got extremely positive feedback from the audience. It confirmed to us that we were heading in the right direction, and gave us the confidence to record the first complete performance of Treatise in 2017. I hope you enjoy it, Stuart.”
Exclusively released through OTO, Priest's House documents The Seen's Dorset outing, with a line up including Dominic Lash and Seth Cooke alongside local improvisers. Mark Wastell has been organising larger formations of musicians, collectively known as THE SEEN, for over 10 years, and thanks to Stuart Riddle the group were able to travel to Wimbourne Minster to form a new South West iteration. Using predominantly improvised material with occasional instructions or themes distributed to individual musicians just prior to performance. No formation has ever been repeated, THE SEEN never stays static.
